‘Milan ’18 will bring out organisational skills of students’

Milan ’18, the annual national-level cultural and sports fest, where best talents from colleges across India converge and compete, got off to a bright start with a grand gala inauguration on Wednesday at the SRM campus in Kattankulathur. The 11th edition of ‘Milan - Live the Change’ was inaugurated by Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda. He began with the familiar greeting ‘Vanakkam Chennai’, and the crowd burst into cheers. Their response to the star brought the roof down. His message to the students was that they would be the future of this country. “I am the future,” he declared, and the nearly 3,500 participants joined in chorus.

Founder-Chancellor of SRM Group of Institutions T.R. Paarivendhar said that the five-day fest served as a platform for student-participants to exhibit their innate talents.

The students have designed 180 programmes / competitions, where nearly 800 colleges and universities are expected to participate.

Director-Student Affairs, C.P. Ramchandani said that Milan ’18 would bring out the organisational skills of students.
