Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Shetty who was admitted to hospital after being stabbed by an assailant in Bengaluru yesterday is said to be out of danger now. The sources in the hospital have said that Justice Shetty underwent surgery yesterday and is kept under observation in the ICU.
The police have registered a case against assailant Tejraj Sharma under various sections for obstructing government servant, for assault, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and unlawful assembly. He will be presented in court today afternoon to seek his custody.
Meanwhile, city advocates’ association has decided to hold the protest in front of City Civil court today in protest against the assault on the anti-corruption ombudsman in the state. The President of the association A P Ranganath has blamed the Government for the security lapse.
