An Israeli zoo is gifting Mysuru zoo four zebras again, after five years.
Also, a Sri Lankan zoo is giving five green anacondas to the zoo here to enrich its reptile collection.
The zebras – three females and one male — are expected to arrive by next month. Ramat Gan Safari Park at Tel Aviv in Israel is gifting the zebras, C. Ravishankar, Zoo Executive Director, said.
Tel Aviv zoo had gifted two male and two female zebras five years ago. Of these, two died a few years ago. The zoo presently has a pair of zebras.
Mr. Ravishankar said the Sri Lankan zoo earlier planned to give a pair of anaconda but later agreed to give three pairs of the same.
