Bajaj Electricals launches IoT-enabled air cooler

Our Bureau

Bajaj Electricals, a consumer durables and lighting company, has launched an Internet of Things (IoT) enabled air cooler. The air cooler comes with features such as an intelligent sensor that can read the temperature and humidity in the room, automatically adjust the fan and its cooling speed based on the temperature and humidity and a chamber for faster cooling, amongst other features.

Anant Bajaj, Joint Managing Director, Bajaj Electricals, believes that IoT tech will play a crucial role in making the process of cooling homes and commercial spaces effective. Further, the cooler can be operated with a mobile app. Also, by collecting data constantly, it will help improve the design of products in future. Data such as the product's performance in different cities in real-time based on the usage data will help in product development, company officials said.

The product will be available in Croma stores, but the company did not specify the pricing of the air cooler.
