Texas airport terminal evacuated after security scare

WASHINGTON: A terminal at the Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, was briefly evacuated after a bomb dog detected an unattended bag, the media reported.

Bill Begley, spokesman with Houston Airports System, said the TSA dog sat on an unattended bag in Terminal c on Wednesday evening, signifying the bag as suspicious, reports ABC Houston.

As a result, the bomb squad was called and the airport cleared the terminal of people, shifting them to Terminal E.

Airport officials later on Wednesday night announced that normal operations had resumed.
