Within 48 hours of withdrawing the previous notification transferring five IAS officers, including Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, the State government issued a fresh notification on Wednesday, transferring 12 officers, including her.
Ms. Sindhuri has been transferred as Commissioner of Department of Employment and Training in Bengaluru. Mysuru Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has been posted as DC of Hassan.
Ms. Sindhuri was transferred along with six other IAS officers on January 22. The Election Commission raised objection to the transfer of officers engaged in the revision of electoral rolls till February 28.
Following the objection, the transfer order was put on hold. The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms issued a notification on March 5 withdrawing the transfer of five of the seven IAS officers, who were transferred as per the January 22 notification.
Rohini Sindhuri was transferred from Hassan within eight months of her posting in Hassan.
A section of Congress leaders including A. Manju, Minister in-charge of Hassan district, had urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to transfer her from the district. When her transfer order was issued on January 22, JD(S) leaders, including former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, had criticised the government, alleging that she was being transferred as she did not allow corruption in the execution of civil works related to Mahamastakabhisheka. Leaders of the BJP had also staged protests opposing her transfer.
Among the five officers, names of four have figured in the fresh notification issued on Wednesday. Following is the list of officers with their new posts: Cauvery B.B: DC, Chamarajanagar; Shettannavar S.B.: DC, Vijayapura; Sivakumar K.B.: DC, Mysuru; Ramu B.: Commissioner, Dept. of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services; Capt. K. Rajendra: DC, Ramanagaram; B.R. Mamatha: MD, KS&DL, Bengaluru; N. Shivakumar: Commissioner, Youth Empowerment; Arundhati Chandrashekhar: Commissioner, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department; R. Lata: CEO, Bengaluru Rural District Zilla Panchayat; and Dayanand K.: DC, Bengaluru Urban district.
