My husband hates spending time with my parents. How can I get him to change this attitude?
Have you asked him why he doesn't like it? Have they done anything to put him off the idea of spending time with them? Does he have this problem with them alone, or does he refuse to meet most other people? This isn't such a big deal if the two of you can just try figuring out why this hesitation exists and then take small steps to make things easier.
Should I tell someone how I feel about her and risk rejection, or wait until she gets to know me better in the hope that she will see me in a better light and then make a decision? I know this girl for a while now, but we have never had more than casual conversations. She doesn't know about my interests, or things I am passionate about, which I think would make her want to spend more time with me. At the same time, if I tell her that I like her and want to spend some time with her, she may think I am being presumptuous and may stop speaking to me altogether. How do I get her to be with me?
Why will someone think of you as presumptuous if you simply ask them out for a cup of coffee? If you think this girl doesn't know you well enough, aren't you also presuming to know how she thinks or how she will react to something? It's fairly obvious that if you want to get to know her better, you have to spend time with her. If you don't want to ask her out, why not simply ask her about something casual, like what her hobbies are, or what she likes doing, and find out if the two of you have any common ground that can lead to a date? All you need is a chance to have a conversation first. Don't over think it.
