Gunners set for minimal support in Milan

2018-03-07 10:05

Cape Town - Arsenal could have a scant pocket of supporters in the away section at the San Siro on Thursday after a travel company cancelled their planned Europa League trip to Milan.

The Gunners are in a midst of their worst run in 16 years after losing four games on the spin, with travelling fans voicing their dissent at management on Sunday against Brighton.

Arsenal Supporters Trust (AST) held their annual general meeting in the wake of the 2-1 defeat at the Amex Stadium, where members voted 88% in favour of wanting Arsene Wenger out at the end of the season.

SportOptions, who has organised European trips for fans of the north London club for more than 20 years, announced the cancellation of their service to Milan for the round-of-16, first-leg clash due to a lack of interest.

While Miles Saward, who runs SportOptions, said there were several factors in the decision, he admitted Gunners supporters are showing their dissatisfaction with results this season.
