Hry govt contemplating pension scheme for widowers

The government is contemplating a scheme for the widowers on the pattern of widow pension, for Social Justice and Empowerment Kumar Bedi said today. He said the matter is with the department. Bedi was replying to a question during the third day of the ongoing budget session of Vidhan Sabha here. Among the eligibility criteria for the widowers for the scheme is that they should be above 45 years of age and should not have remarried. He said that the rules and regulations of the scheme would soon be finalised and applications would be invited from the eligible beneficiaries. In response to another question raised during the Question Hour in the Assembly, Minister said that the was actively working to make Panchkula slum free. He said that the slum dwellers of Rajiv Colony, and in Panchkula would be rehabilitated by constructing dwelling units over an area of about 40 acres on the public private partnership (PPP) mode. He said that 7,263 beneficiaries have been identified from these colonies for rehabilitation. said that the has a proposal to make the state slum free on the PPP mode. Replying to a question, Urban said that the outdoor publicity policy in the Gurugram Municipal Area was notified on June 6, 2017, after inviting suggestion from people and its final draft is being prepared. She said that 69 government sites, rapid metro and other important sites have been identified to enhance income of Municipal Corporation, Gurugram. She said that Rs 87.89 lakh were received through outdoor publicity tender in 2014-15, Rs 40 lakh in 2015-16 and Rs 820.27 lakh in 2016-17. O P Dhankar said that the has been working actively to develop International Horticulture and Vegetable Market over 600 acres of land at Ganaur, district Sonepat.
