A five-day Rang Triveni Theatre Festival will be held in city from Wednesday. To mark the grand opening of the theatre fest, renowned playwright of the city Alok Chatterjee will be felicitated with Rang Triveni Kala Siddhi Award.
The theatre festival is being organised by Saghan Society for Cultural and Welfare Bhopal. The theatre fest will be held at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium and will continue till Sunday. The fest is being held with the association of Government of India Ministry of Culture, New Delhi and Education Directorate Bhopal.
On the first day of the theatre fest i.e. Wednesday, Yogesh Tripathi's written play Teesra Mantar will be staged by Rang Triveni Bhopal in the direction of Sanjay Upadhyay. On March 8 i.e. Thursday, Bhishma Sahni's written drama ‘Hanush’ will be staged. It is directed by Manoj Mishra and will be staged by Mandap theatre troupe,Rewa.
On March 9, Shweta Devi’s written play Dayaan will be staged by Mahi theatre troupe Bhopal in the direction of Nizam Patel. On March 10, play Buddhimati ki Bhains written by Mahendra Malgia, the play is directed by Abhishek Devnarayan and will be staged by Achyjjal New Delhi.
Marking the grand closure of the fest, Vijaydan Detha’s play ‘Swapnalok’ will be staged. The play is directed by Nitish Dubey and will be performed by Karmyogi Creative Theatre, Bhopal.
This festival will be full of comedy and artistry. Purv Rang will also be a part of the festival. On March 7, ‘Sapne’ directed by Bishna Chauhan will be performed. On March 8 Court marshal directed by Samarth Mahor will be performed. On March 9, Ek aur Andha Yug directed by Anuj Shukla, on March 10 Virasath directed by Prabhakar Dubey will be staged.
On March 11, Christmas Ka Ek Din, directed by Himanshi Joshi will be staged.
