Over 200 kg of ganja has been seized in separate cases, the Gurugram Police said on Tuesday. They added that two men were arrested in connection with one of the cases.
A Palam Vihar Crime Branch team flagged down two men in a car near Bhagat Singh Chowk at Sector 5 here on Sunday and seized two plastic bags containing 40.3 kg of ganja from their possession.
The duo was later identified as Akhilesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar, both from Bihar.
A case was registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Sector 5 police station. The duo was produced in court on Monday and remanded to two-day police custody.
In the second case, 56 packets of ganja weighing 163 kg were found abandoned near an under construction building in Hailey Mandi under the jurisdiction of Pataudi police station. The police said efforts are on to identify the accused with the help of CCTV camera footage from the area.
