Inauguration of a series of school and hospital buildings as well as bridges indicate that development has been reaching Telangana’s remote areas at breakneck speed, said Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy.
Inaugurating the 50-bed hospital in Chityal mandal here on Tuesday, the Minister said that the State government, as promised, had set up 40 dialysis centres across the state and along with that, old hospitals, which had been crying for attention since decades, are being upgraded.
“We have also set up a fertility centre at Gandhi Hospital,” he said.
The Health Minister, along with Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary, R&B Minister Thummala Nageswar Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari toured Bhupalpally constituency on Tuesday, unveiling a series of development works.
Earlier, they took part in the opening of a dialysis centre at MGM Hospital in Warangal and inaugurated marketing godowns, an R&B bridge between Moranchapally and Garmillapally and laid the foundation stone for a KGBV School.
They also inaugurated a mini-godown at Mulugu Ghanpur. The ministers later inaugurated the MLA camp office building and municipal office building in Bhupalpally town.
Mr. Srihari said the people of Chityal lacked smooth access to healthcare facilities earlier, as they stayed far from the erstwhile district headquarters. But now after formation of Bhupalpally district, more funds are flowing in and people are witnessing development in the true sense of the term, he added.
“Bhupalpally and other agency mandals lagged behind with poor infrastructural facilities in health and education sectors. There are no proper roads either. But now that is history,” he said.
The Speaker asserted that a 100-bed hospital would come up in the district soon and similarly, irrigation would be provided to every acre. “Now there is no village without a cement-concrete road in this constituency,” he said.
