Transfer of Sindhuri, four others withdrawn

more-in

The State government on Monday withdrew its controversial transfer of five IAS officers, including Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri.

The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms had ordered their transfer on January 22, but it was put on hold following a direction from the Election Commission. The commission argued that officials involved in electoral roll revision cannot be transferred midway through the process.

The notification applies to S.B. Sheshanna, Director, Directorate of Groundwater; M.V. Venkatesh, DC of Haveri; K. Rajendra, Deputy Secretary (Revenue); B.R. Mamatha, DC of Ramanagar, and Ms. Sindhuri.
