Baby among three people burned in explosion at Central Coast unit

Two men and a baby boy suffered serious burns in an explosion at a unit block on the Central Coast on Wednesday.

Paramedics were called to reports of an explosion at the Point Frederick property about 3pm.

NSW Ambulance said one of the men, 18, suffered burns to 70 per cent of his body, while the second man, 24, sustained burns to 30 per cent of his body.

They went to Gosford Hospital before both were airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.

The 18-year old man was in a serious but stable condition, while the 24-year-old man was stable on Wednesday night.

A one-year-old boy with minor burns to his face was also taken to Gosford Hospital, where he was considered stable.
