Study Shows Impact of Cognition's IDE for Configuration Management Within its Cockpit Platform
Lexington, Massachusetts (PRWEB) March 07, 2018
Cognition Corporation, a software company specializing in medical device compliance and commercialization, has just released a new case study in partnership with SEAKR Engineering, Inc.
SEAKR Engineering, Inc. has been revolutionizing spacecraft memory and processing systems since 1981. The case study details their adoption of Cognition's Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to manage process- and business-specific configurations in the Cognition Cockpit Platform.
"Our use of Cockpit is configured around our development and business processes," says a Systems Engineering Director at SEAKR. "The longer we've worked with Cockpit, the more we began to realize we needed to optimize our time configuring it."
The Cockpit IDE is a software tool designed for unified Cockpit configuration development. The case study discusses how SEAKR has used the IDE's features to empower lean configuration management. As well, the case study shows how the IDE has helped SEAKR's system engineers reduce invested time and cost in configuration activities.
"Configuration time for our use of Cockpit has reduced over 60 percent since we adopted the IDE," says a SEAKR Systems Engineering Director. "It's been a very successful addition to our development processes."
Cognition is proud to have collaborated on this case study with SEAKR, and hopes to continue the relationship as they continue their growth.
"SEAKR Engineering is a great organization with a friendly, collaborative spirit," says David Cronin, CEO of Cognition. "We're very proud to call them friends and clients, and this case study reflects that."
The case study is available for download here.
