1.48L students given laptops, tablets, claims Govt
The State Government under the Chhattisgarh Yuva Soochna Kranti Yojana has distributed laptops and tablets to more than 1.48 lakh students so far, officials said.
Distribution of laptops to 17,000 students of academic session 2017-18 is in progress, they informed.
Under this scheme, the money for the purchase of laptops and tablets was transferred directly into the savings account of students in year 2015-16.
In the academic session 2016-17, a total of 16,804 students were provided laptops and a total 62,124 students were provided tablets.
In the academic session 2017-18, distribution of laptops to 17,000 students is in progress.
