A Nigerian national was arrested today by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials for allegedly possession heroin which is worth over Rs 6 crore in international market. Mamdubueze Nonso Charles (38) was nabbed by a team of NCB and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on a specific input during a search of some coaches of the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express at Vadodara railway station early this morning, said NCB zonal director, Hari Om Gandhi. "Charles was arrested after we found 1.21 kgs of pure heroin from his possession.
The street value of the contraband is around Rs 6 crore in international market. The heroin, which was in white powder form, was cleverly concealed in three food packets by Charles," he said, adding that further investigation is on. Charles will be produced before a local court tomorrow.
