Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that wheat on the support price of Rs 1735 per quintal will be purchased from the farmers this year. The State Government will also give bonus of Rs 265 per quintal to the farmers.
Chouhan was addressing the Public Welfare Camp at Verkhedi of Badarwas block today. He also gave financial assistance of Rs 6.60 crore to 625 beneficiaries under the various beneficiary oriented schemes.
He mentioned that an amount of Rs 1,000 is being deposited in the bank accounts of woman heads of Sahriya tribe, Baiga and Bhariya families, dwelling in Gwalior, Guna, Ashok Nagar and Sheopur of Gwalior division. He said that the poor labourer families will have to pay electricity charges now at the flat rate of Rs 200 per month in place meter reading. This scheme will come into force from April 01, 2018.
Besides, Chouhan said that free treatment arrangement will be made in the hospitals for poor and labourer families. Elaborating on the schemes being implemented for the welfare of poor families, Chouhan made announcement for construction of pond at Verkhedi-Ajalpur, costing Rs 19.46 crore, for starting a high school at Verkhedi-Ajalpur from the next academic session, for starting Nal-Jal Yojana and construction of 9 km long road from Verkhedi to Baroda.
