CBI court summons state chief secretary in fodder case

RANCHI: Special CBI judge Shiv Pal Singh has asked seven people, including Bihar chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, to appear before it in one of the fodder scam cases related to the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.97 crore from Dumka treasury.

Apart from Singh, who was the deputy commissioner of Dumka when the scam took place, the court also summoned the then finance secretary Vijay Shankar Dubey, former Bihar director general of police D P Ojha and investigating officer A K Jha on Tuesday.


The three others who have been accused in the case by the judge includes suppliers of the state animal husbandry department, who had turned approvers in the case. The special CBI court judge has charged them under section 319 of the Criminal Procedure Code.


After hearing the arguments, the judge fixed March 15 for pronouncing the judgment.
