Indian Motorcycle has unveiled a limited edition model of the 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite. The new variants takes the charm and style of the Indian Chieftain a few notches higher with a hand painted colour scheme, 200-watt premium audio system, Pathfinder LED headlight and driving lights, a push-button power flare windshield, bilet aluminium Select Driver and Passenger Floorboards, and plush genuine leather seats designed for long hours in the saddle. The 2018 Limited Edition Chieftain Elite also gets smaller hand controls which are said to improve ergonomics. Also new are the new pinnacle mirrors.

The new Chieftain Elite also comes with Indian's Ride Command, a state-of-the-art infotainment system consisting of a seven-inch, glove-compatible touch screen and smartphone/Bluetooth connectivity. Additional touring comforts include cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring, remote locking saddlebags, keyless ignition and ABS. The Chieftain Elite LE is powered by the same 1,811 cc Thunder Stroke 111 V-twin engine which makes 161 Nm of peak torque.The colour is called Black Hills Silver, inspired by the silver mines of the Black Hills in South Dakota, and hand-painted with high flakes. The limited edition bikes are first hand-masked and graphics laid down before being spray painted by hand at Indian Motorcycle's custom paint facility in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Customers also have the option to make the Chieftain Elite even more personalised and premium with the Thunder Stroke 116 Stage 3 Big Bore kit, which is said to add 20 per cent more power and 15 per cent more torque. There is also the option of adding a colour-matched quick release trunk at the tail. So far, there's no word of if Indian Motorcycle will introduce the Limited Edition Chieftain Elite in India or not. But if there are customer enquiries, we don't see any reason why Indian will not import the Limited Edition Chieftain Elite, given all Indian bikes are in any case, brought in as full imports. In the US, the Limited Edition Chieftain Elite is priced at $ 31,499 ( ₹ 20.5 lakh).
