Pre fab technology to be used in Govt building in Haryana

Haryana Medical Education and Research Department has signed an agreement with Hindustan Prefab Limited, Jangpura, New-Delhi for the construction of the building of College of Nursing and College of Physiotherapy in the University of Health Sciences, Karnal using Pre-fab Technology as a pilot project.

Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, Dhanpat Singh said that the State Government was in the process to establish University of Health Sciences, Karnal at Village Kutail.  The estimated cost of the Project is about Rs. 17 crore and would be executed within a period of six months.

Initially, the State Government has decided to construct building of College of Physiotherapy and College of Nursing in the campus of University of Health Sciences, Karnal and make them functional from the academic session 2018-19, he added.

He said that due to paucity of time, Pre-fabricated or pre engineered structure Technology would be used to erect these buildings.

The Prefab Technology is the latest technology wherein one can achieve faster construction with least pollution as the major components are manufactured offsite, he added.

The construction process is executed without the use of clay bricks and other raw materials used in the conventional constructions which damage the mother earth.

It is a Pilot Project, which is first time being executed by the Haryana Government with the latest Prefab Technology and it would be a milestone in future construction technology in the State, he added.
