Pimpri Chinchwad: Residents of housing societies in Wakad, led by Pimpri Chinchwad Cooperative Housing Societies’ Federation, marched on Saturday to draw the attention of PCMC to the inadequate water supply in the area.
The meeting at Dewdale housing society was attended by more than 350 residents. Sudhir Deshmukh, a representative of the federation, said they will explore avenues, including filing a public interest litigation in the Bombay high court, if their protests go unheard.
AM Deshmukh, spokesperson of the federation, said they have handed over letters to municipal commissioner Shravan Hardikar.
Sudesh Raje, the federation chairman, said residents need adequate water. “If PCMC does not provide water, they will stop paying property tax,” he said.
