The event celebrates individuals who are committed to raising awareness of bone health in their practice and community

CURE® magazine, the nation’s leading consumer digital and print media enterprise focused entirely on patients with cancer, is proud to announce co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America, breast cancer survivor and author Amy Robach as keynote speaker for the Inaugural Bone Health Champions gala. The celebration will honor champions who have made differences in the bone health community. This year’s gala will take place on May 18, at the Washington Marriott Marquis, Washington D.C., during the Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS) 43rd Annual Congress.

“Amy’s journey with cancer has been a courageous and an inspiring one,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates Inc., parent company of CURE® magazine. “We are honored to be joined by her and look forward to recognizing individuals who are championing the field of bone health.”

Since 2014, Robach serves as the co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America program. In 2013, she was diagnosed with breast cancer following her live on-air mammogram. After finding a malignant tumor, Robach went through a double mastectomy and eight rounds of chemotherapy. In her book, “Better: How I Let Go of Control, Held On To Hope, and Found Joy in My Darkest Hour,” she discusses her breast cancer journey.

Bone Health Champions are physicians, nurses and/or medical professionals that are nominated by patents and caregivers for their heroic contributions. To nominate a champion, please visit: https://www.curetoday.com/bhchampions. Nominations will close March 31.
