WOMEN OF SUBSTANCE

Last weekend, Phoenix Marketcity Pune, Viman Nagar hosted the second edition of ‘Phoenix Leading Lady Award’ (PLLA) to celebrate and honour women achievers from different walks of life across Indian cities. The event saw Bollywood actressTabu and Payal Ghosh as guests of honour.

Among the recipients were Mira Erda, the youngest girl to drive Formula 3 car in India and India’s first female race car driver to race in Euro JK series, Kanchanmala Pande, the world champion of the World Para Swimming Championship 2017, Nilima Selote, the Best Beat Guard in Gadchiroli Forest Circle, Maharashtra in 2016 who also got the recognition in wildlife service award, and Pratima Joshi, planner and designer by profession who co-founded Shelter Associates, an NGO working in the area of sustainable low cost housing and sanitation for the urban poor.
