Redskins re-sign S Everett to multiyear deal
The Washington Redskins announced the signing of safety Deshazor Everett to a multiyear contract on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everett was set to become a restricted free agent this offseason.
In addition, the Redskins waived tackle Kevin Bowen, running back Kenny Hilliard and running back Dare Ogunbowale.
Everett has played all three of his seasons in the NFL with the Redskins, appearing in 41 games and starting eight, all of which came last season. The 26-year-old has 61 tackles, six passes defensed, one forced fumble and one interception in his career.
Last season, Everett set career highs in tackles (52), passes defensed (five) and forced fumbles (one).
Everett went undrafted out of Texas A&M and originally signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on May 4, 2015. He later joined the Redskins on Aug. 1, 2015.
