'Patola', Guru Randhawa's new song from Irrfan Khan, Kirti Kulhari-starrer Blackmail has been released. The song is a rehash of the singer's 2015 song of the same, which also featured rapper Bohemia. Touted as the wedding anthem of 2018, the rehashed version lacks Bohemia's power but makes use of traditional dhol beats.

The 2015 original became the biggest Punjabi song of that year. The Blackmail version, too, has managed to cross 3 million views in just 2 days but is far from becoming an anthem. Not much has been changed about the song, which brings down the excitement around it.

Picturised on Khan and Kulhari, the song marks the beginning of their matrimony. Kulhari is not the quintessential, coy bride. She believes in burning the dance floor at her own wedding but does not like PDA. Irrfan, on the other hand, is hopelessly in love with her and acts like a typical, shy Indian groom.

Dressed in all black, Randhawa appears in the song too, showing off his dance moves.

Directed by Abhinay Deo, Blackmail also stars Divya Dutta and Arunoday Singh. The film is slated to release on 6 April. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Deo and Apurba Sengupta.
