Impeach Trump Billboard to Go Up Near President’s Mar-a-Lago Club

A liberal political action committee will put up a billboard later this month just miles from President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida calling for the Republican’s impeachment.

Mad Dog PAC, which has funded similar impeachment billboards in Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania, plans for the newest giant placard to run from March 19 until April 15 on East Shannondale Road near Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach. The billboard will be roughly two miles away from Trump’s lavish golf club, dubbed "the winter White House."

The billboard will read: “Impeachment now, Make America America Again!”

It’s possible that Trump could see the billboard should his motorcade drive near that part of I-95. Of his 410 days in office, Trump has visited Mar-a-Lago 58 times, the highest of any of his properties. The president has also made 40 trips to Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey, according to NBC News’ tracker.

Mad Dog PAC has previously targeted other top Republicans around the country. Senator Ted Cruz was chastised with a quote from former President George W. Bush saying “I just don’t like the guy,” for one billboard in Dallas.

Other targets have included Representative Matt Gaetz, as well as the National Rifle Association.

The billboard tactic near one of the president’s top properties has been used before. In September, groups including RootsAction.org and Free Speech for the People put up a similar billboard on Southern Boulevard, one of the roads that leads directly to Mar-a-Lago.

That campaign was buoyed and funded by 1.2 million people who signed a petition encouraging Trump’s ouster as commander-in-chief.

Trump has dealt with cries for his impeachment throughout much of his near-14 months in the White House. Billionaire and top Democratic donor Tom Steyer has run television advertisements demanding lawmakers impeach Trump and challenging the president’s mental fitness for office.

Currently, in the minority, Democratic efforts to impeach Trump have fallen flat. In December, 66 Democrats voted to file articles of impeachment against Trump, compared to 355 lawmakers who voted the measure down. However, the total number of Democrats to vote yes on impeachment was the highest to date.
