Bengaluru, Mar 6

Global Mentoring Walk to be held in Bengaluru on March 10. The walk initiative is to connect emerging women leaders with established women achievers from Bengaluru’s diverse professional community. As a part of International Women’s Day celebrations, Her Second Innings in association with Vital Voices Global partnership will host the Walk at Cubbon Park from 9 am to 11 am.

Moving away from the formal mentoring format, Global Mentoring Walk brings together mentors and the participants in an outdoor environment. As they walk, each established leader guides, advises and supports an emerging leader as they discuss professional challenges and triumphs during the one hour window. At the end of the walk, the mentors will create an action plan for the mentee. The plan will be reviewed and revised by the mentor over a period of six months through constant interactions and meetings with the mentee.

The mentors for Global Mentoring walk have been meticulously chosen from various industries to ensure the right pairing of mentor and mentee. From subject matter experts to entrepreneurs, the mentors are senior women leaders who have made a mark in their chosen area.

The Global Mentoring Walk is an opportunity to highlight the importance of women’s leadership, and to accelerate the impact of women leaders through mentoring. With an aim to inspire, support and encourage each other, Global Mentoring walk provides established women leaders a platform to activate the potential of a new generation of change makers.
