Jubilant FoodWorks announces JV with Golden Harvest, to launch Domino’s Pizza in Bangladesh

NEW DELHI: Jubilant FoodWorks Limited (JFL), which operates US quick service brands Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin Donuts in India, on Tuesday announced a joint venture with Golden Harvest QSR, part of the diversified Golden Harvest group with interests across food, dairy, logistics and commodities, to launch Domino’s Pizza in Bangladesh. Post investment in the JV, JFL will be the majority shareholder with 51% of the total shareholding, while Golden Harvest QSR will hold the balance 49%.
JFL chairman Shyam Bhartia said in a statement: “As one of the fastest growing economies, we believe Bangladesh offers huge potential for Domino’s.”
JFL already has exclusive rights to develop and operate Domino’s in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, the company said in a statement. It presently operates a network of 1128 Domino’s Pizza restaurants, besides 43 Dunkin’ Donuts stores in India.
