A new report from the CDC found that ER visits for opioid overdoses rose 30-percent nationwide in a single year.

But in the Midwest alone, emergency room visitations rose by 70-percent.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a survey between July 2016 and September 2017 to obtain their data.

The emergency departments report analyzed overdoses across 45 states, including 52 CDC jurisdictions..
