Biju jayanti celebrated in Brahmapur
The Biju Patnaik jayanti was celebrated here on Monday. Many organisations paid floral tributes at Bijubabu’s statues at different places in the city and lamps were lit in the Maa Budhithakurani temple praying for his soul to rest in peace.
On the occasion, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) distributed fruits at the City Hospital in the presence of local MLA Ramesh Chandra Chaupatnaik, BDA Chairman Subash Moharana, BJD members Sanghamitra Dalai, Bijay Samal, Bhismachariya Chaudhury, Rash Bihari Dash Anil Nayak and others.
A blood donation camp was also organsied under the chairmanship Nagar BJD youth president Mukund Gaude in which a total of 131 units of blood were collected. Among others, K Ravi and Jagannath were present.
