Siddaramaiah defends Kheny’s induction

more-in

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday defended the admission of legislator and businessman Ashok Kheny into the Congress party, saying “Mr. Kheny had not gone to jail” like some BJP leaders in the State.

“No one can question Mr. Kheny’s entry into the Congress,” Mr. Siddaramaiah told reporters in Delhi.

Some Congress legislators in the city had opposed Mr. Kheny’s induction. A House committee of the legislature has found many irregularities in the execution of the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project promoted by Mr. Kheny.
