Cape Town - Formula 1's first winter test in freezing conditions went ahead as planned in February despite the icy conditions.
Last month, teams began to discuss whether running in forecast snow should be cancelled or not.
The talks came as cold temperatures as low as 2-3 degrees made getting temperature into the tyres almost impossible for testing.

Braving the weather, Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull, Force India and Williams put rubber to asphalt and tested their new cars.
