Chief Secy presides over formation of State-level steering Committee

Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh presided over formation of a state-level steering committee for institutionalization of Mission Antyodaya.

Development Commissioner, Panchayat and Rural Development Department has been nominated as coordinator while Panchayat and Rural Development Secretary has been nominated member secretary in the committee.

Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, Public Health Engineering, Finance, Public Health and Family Welfare, Energy, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Technical Education and Skills, Social Justice and Disables, School Education, Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development, Animal Husbandry, Women and Child Development, Cottage and Gramodyog, Horticulture and Food Processing, Commissioner Panchayat and Chief Executive Officer, MP State Rural Livelihood Mission will be members of the committee. The Committee will include others as members per its need.

The State level steering committee of Mission Antyodaya will monitor policy for planning, implementation and monitoring, fixation of processes and systems, institutional support of participant departments for amendments as per need, convergence and focused implementation and fixation of financial resources and schemes/activities, fixation of responsibilities of participant departments, inter-departmental coordination, discussion on issues apprised by the districts and essential recommendations, administrative and technical support and coordination for redressal of grievances, recommendations for alternative financial corroboration, essential coordination with national level committee besides monitoring of department wise progress and outcome.

Notably, the Mission Antyodaya run by Government of India’s Minister for Rural Development aims at convergence of human and financial resources obtained from coordination of Government departments and other organizations and ensure focused implementation of activities/ schemes through optimum utilization which can further help in effective and result-oriented action on multidimensionality of poverty to ensure sustainable livelihood for target families.
