A video of a young woman brandishing billhook in Surat goes viral

SURAT: A video of around 20-year-old woman brandishing a billhook went viral in the diamond city on Monday. The woman was trying to attack a youth along with three other young men one of whom was carrying a knife. Following the video went viral police started investigation to locate the woman.
The woman is identified as Asmita Gohil who is friend of Sanjay alias Bhuro Gohil, a history sheeter, sources in police informed. The woman is seen in the video brandishing the billhook while two men try to stop her. She was trying to attack a young man with the weapon while a number of passerby and local residents overlooked.

Along with Asmita his friend Sanjay is also seen in the video with a knife. In a fight over some dispute they took out the weapons and were threatening the man who escaped from the spot fearing assault. He was chased by the woman and her friends when the woman takes lead.

Police suspect that the video was shot in Varachha area and a search has been initiated to trace the woman. Sources in police informed that the woman recently shifted to the city and live with one of the men with whom she is seen in the video.
