The budget session of Haryana Assembly began today with Governor's address.
Addressing the house, Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki said that Haryana is the only state of India which is kerosene free, where no member of any Panchayati raj institutions is uneducated or a defaulter of bank loan or electricity bill.
The Governor said, according to advance estimates, the per capita income of Haryana in real terms in 2017-18 is 1,54,587 rupees as compared to 1,45,163 rupees in 2016-17.
At current price, the Per Capita income of Haryana in 2017-18 is 1,96,982 rupees.
He announced that Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority in collaboration with Gurugram Municipal Corporation and Shree Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, Gurugram, will set up a new Medical College in sector 102 of Gurugram.
He said that under the plan to provide a medical college for every district, the government has already approved a proposal to establish a Government Medical College in district Mahendergarh.
Elaborating the achievements of government, Governor also said that Government will procure 500 new buses and also hire another 500 buses apart from procuring 50 standard AC buses this year.
