Officials of the State Prohibition and Excise department arrested three persons in two separate cases and seized five lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) blots and 25 methylene dioxy methamphetamine (MDMA) pills worth ₹ 2 lakh from them.

In the first case, Pulichara Giridhar (20), a resident of Nagaram village in Keesara, was nabbed in Yapral on Saturday while he was looking for prospective buyers in the area, said officials.

In another case, P.S. Dhanunjaya Nair (22) and Varun Singh (23), both residents of Kapra, were apprehended in Neredmet on Sunday, even as they were looking to sell drugs.

Cases under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act were invoked against the accused at Malkajgiri excise police station.

The officials also seized two motor bikes and three mobile phones from the duo.
