The upcoming project of actor Jr NTR and filmmaker Trivikram, tentatively titled NTR 28, was officially launched with a customary ceremony last October. Pawan Kalyan, who was then shooting for Trivikram’s Agnyaathavaasi, had presided over as the chief guest of the event. On Monday, via a statement, the makers announced Pooja Hegde as the project's leading lady and confirmed that the film will go on the floors from April.
"NTR 28 is a very prestigious film for us and the combination of NTR and ace director Trivikram will be a treat for movie lovers. We are happy that this eagerly awaited film is being made on our banner. We are aiming for a release in the second half of 2018", said producer Suryadevara Radhakrishna, who will bankroll the project via Haarika and Hassine Creations.
The statement also confirmed that SS Thaman has been signed as the composer, replacing Anirudh Ravichander, who was originally supposed to compose music. It's still yet unknown why Anirudh opted out of the project, especially after he had said he was really happy to be collaborating with Trivikram once again after Agnyaathavaasi. This project will mark Thaman’s maiden collaboration with Trivikram. However, Thaman has worked with NTR in films such as Brindavanam, Baadshah and Rabhasa. PS Vinod has been signed to crank the camera.
NTR is currently working out very hard with well-known trainer Lloyd Stevens to get the desired look for the project. According to reliable sources from the film's unit, NTR will look extra leaner for this project and hence is spending most of his time sweating it out. Over the last few weeks, Stevens has been sharing glimpses of the star's work out videos on his social media page, sending NTR'S fans into frenzy. On Saturday, he shared a video of NTR working hard to sport washboard abs. "He's getting ripped for the project. Fans are going to love his new look which will be unlike anything they've seen of him over the years," a source told Firstpost.
Upon completion of Trivikram's project, NTR will begin work on SS Rajamouli's next project, which will also star Ram Charan. It'll be first time NTR and Charan will share the screen space. If everything goes as planned, the shoot of this film is expected to roll from October.
