‘KCR failed to fulfil promises made to dalits’

Bharatiya Janata Party State vice-president and former legislator G. Ramakrishna Reddy has said the BJP will defeat Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao with ease in the ensuing 2019 Assembly elections like it could defeat Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who had a clean image without any corruption charges.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao government on the other hand is plagued with several corruption charges and had launched several anti-people’s policies when compared to Tripura CM, said Mr. Reddy and added that it would be a cake-walk for the BJP in the election and would defeat the TRS. He predicted that the BJP would form the government in Telangana in 2019 elections.

He alleged that Mr. Rao would finally emerge as the only person, who had amassed wealth and constructed farm house when he was participating in the statehood movement by doing blackmail politics.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday he reminded them that the Telangana Chief Minister had failed to fulfil all promises made during the 2014 elections including installing a dalit as Chief Minister, three acres land to dalits, double bedroom houses, job to each household and others.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was talking about his role in the national politics as he was confident of the TRS losing in Telangana and was hence lobbying for the Rajya Sabha MP’s post and some ministry in the Union government.

Ridiculing Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s claims that he had not abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the Chief Minister had repeated the same words during the Adilabad meeting out of fear of losing the power.

He said that the TRS government had no right to talk about the welfare of the farmers as it had failed to provide bonus to the chilli and cotton farmers when the same was done by the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

Bharatiya Janata Party district president K. Srinivas Reddy, district leaders Korivi Venugopal, T. Harikumar Goud and others were also present.
