Run to create awareness on rare disorders

More than 50 lesser-known disorders have been added for raising funds

The Halo Wings run, organised for raising funds for patients with lesser-known disorders was held at Anna University in the city on Sunday.

The run was organised by the Lysosomal Storage Disorders Society (LSDSS) in association with the College of Engineering, Guindy. The cadets of Navy NCC, CEG participated to show their support to the cause.

The Halo Wings run is an annual event organised to commemorate the Rare Disease Day which is celebrated on February 28. This year, more than 50 rare disorders were included for raising funds and to create awareness.

Cause Ambassador and actor Karthi flagged off the 9.03-km run. Dr. A.T. Arasar Seeralar, Director and Superintendent, Institute of Child Health and T.V. Geetha, Dean, CEG, participated.
