A Delhi University (DU) student on Sunday filed a case against her private tutor accusing him of raping her in a hotel in Gurugram and filming the act, the police said. The accused has been detained, they added.
Marriage pressure
The 22-year-old alleged in her complaint that the tutor threatened to upload the clips on social media and commit suicide if she refused to marry him. The victim is a resident of New Ashok Nagar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Omvir Singh said a case has been registered against the teacher at New Ashok Nagar police station.
“We have detained the tutor for questioning. His mobile phone is also being examined to find out whether it contains the alleged video clips,” said Mr. Singh.
