The WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018 has added another member. On Monday, the company announced that Hillbilly Jim will be inducted in April.

As revealed by Bleacher Report, Hillbilly Jim will join Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett and Warrior Award recipient Jarrius “JJ” Robertson on April 6 in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans as the latest member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Hillbilly Jim (real name: James Morris) hails from Louisville, Kentucky, and brought a lot of energy and personality to the WWE. His unorthodox in-ring attire consisted of a pair of overalls, and he often came down with his lucky horseshoe.

"It was always a very doable and easy character to step into," Jim told Bleacher Report. "I'm from this part of the country. I know a lot of country people. I know what that translates to. I did the best I could to bring that to the ring. It's a lot like I really am in person. I'm a happy, excitable kind of character. And I just wanted to denote happiness."

Hillbilly Jim made his WWE debut in 1984 as a plant in the crowd, jumping the barricade to help Hulk Hogan after he was attacked by Ken Patera, Big John Studd and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan.

Jim used his trademark bear hug to squeeze his opponents into submission. Although his time in the WWE didn’t net him a championship, Hillbilly Jim’s contributions to the company included introducing the WWE Universe to Uncle Elmer, Cousin Junior and Cousin Luke as his extended family.

The WWE Hall of Fame 2018 induction will air on the WWE Network Friday, April 6.
