A difference of opinion has sprung up inside the Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP) over the selection of candidates for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections. And the situation appears to be leading to the ouster of Kannada movie maker and party president Upendra from the party.

The party members are reportedly upset with the dictatorial attitude of Upendra and they're unhappy with his working style.

The KPJP was founded by Mahesh Gowda, who made allegations that Upendra sidelined him from party programmes.

The KPJP core committee has called for a meeting on Monday evening to address the issue. Sources inside the party claim that Upendra is likely to be ousted from the party as many members are upset with his attitude.

More details are awaited.
