There was a massive security breach in Rajasthan Assembly as Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Manoj Kumar entered inside the premises with a gun.
The incident sent the security apparatus at the Rajasthan Assembly, highly sensitized and secured building, into a tizzy.
When asked about it, the BSP MLA reportedly told the security personnel he mistakenly carried the gun inside state assembly as he was in a hurry. He apparently said he carries gun for his personal security as he had threat to his life.
Kumar is the BSP MLA from Sadulpur in Churu district in Rajasthan.
When India Today tried speaking with various MLAs inside the state Assembly about the security breach, they either maintained it to be a matter of security breach or feigned ignorance, claiming they were not aware about the incident.
According to a senior MLA of the Rajasthan Assembly, if someone takes gun inside the state Assembly and it is brought to the notice of the Speaker, then the Speaker can act against it.
The Budget session is currently on in the Rajasthan Assembly.
