In a first, Hindu woman elected to Senate

Creating history, a Thari Hindu woman has been elected to the Senate.A rights activist of the Kohli community Krishna Kumari, from the remote village of Dhana Gam in Nagarparkar, was selected as a candidate for a Senate seat by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), a Dawn report said.

Kumari, along with Quratulain Marri, was elected to a reserved seat for women from Sindh on Saturday.
