Gold and silver jewelleries worth Rs1 lakh were burgled from Kotra Sultanabad under Kamla Nagar police station area on Saturday.
The residence of victim Dinesh Patil at H-152 of Government quarters at Kotra Sultanabad was targeted by the miscreants and escaped with valuables worth Rs1 lakh on Saturday when the victim and his family had gone to his another house at Bagh Mugahalia on March 2.
On his return, the victim found that lock of the door was found broken and on entering, the valuables were found burgled.
In his complaint with Kamla Nagar police ,he stated that he owns a house in Bagh Mughalia and on March 2, he had gone to his residence along with his family and when he returned on May 3, the valuables were found burgled. Gold and silver jewellery worth Rs1 lakh were found burgled. It must be written here that burglaries have become a common phenomenon in this part of town and nobody can deny this.
In the burglary, along with gold and silver jewelleries, a mobile phone and house hold goods were also taken away. The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs50,000 were burgled from Bagh Farhat Afza under Aishbagh police station area on Saturday. Police said that the victim Salma Shaikh had gone for some work and when she returned a pair of gold ear rings and a mobile phone worth Rs 50000 were found burgled.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
