If you felt like this year's Oscars show was lacking when it came to humor, it could be because the funniest skit of the night actually ended up getting cut. The Lonely Island -- the comedy trio made up by Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone -- came up with a star-studded musical number that would have seriously blown your mind.

The Oscars may celebrate the best accomplishments of the entertainment industry every year, but there's definitely a few very notable accomplishments that get left off the list of nominees. Namely, the blockbusters. You'll never see a Fast & Furiousmovie or Wonder Woman in the category for Best Picture, and while those actors and creators never make too much of a fuss about the oversight, this year The Lonely Island decided to make it for them.

"We were asked to write a song for this year's Academy Awards," The Lonely Island wrote of the music video that never was. "Unfortunately, it wasn't chosen because it was 'financially and logistically impossible,' so for fun we thought we'd share the rough storyboards of what would have been a fully shot, star-studded music video of exorbitant cost."

Oscars 2018 Winners: The Shape of Water, Jordan Peele Steal the Show

In a four-minute musical number that never actually got made, stars like Michael Fassbender, Gal Gadot and Vin Diesel bemoaned their lack of nominations and the unfair voting process that excluded their massively popular movies. They also managed to poke fun at "boring" nominees like Lady Bird and The Shape of Water.

Your disappointment over this number never getting made will hit its peak, however, when you realize that there was a verse to be performed by all the Chrises (Hemsworth, Pine, Evans and Pratt -- and Chris Rock for comedy's sake) suggesting a "Best Chris" category to solve that heated debate once and for all.

Can we please get this on the agenda for next year's show?
