4-year-old boy falls into septic tank, dies

A four-year-old boy allegedly drowned after falling into a septic tank on Sunday.

According to reports, the incident took place at a site where a house was under construction in Palliagaram village near Salavakkam, in Kancheepuram district. Nishant, 4, son of Dinesh went to the toilet where he reportedly fell into a nearby pit used as septic tank.

Relatives of the child took him to the Chengalpattu Medical College hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, the police said.

No complaint

The Salavakkam police said they had come to know of the accident, but were yet to get a formal complaint from the parents.

On Friday, a four-year-old boy fell into a septic tank in a private school in Ayyappanthangal and died.

Keerthiswaran was the son of Mohan, a daily wager residing at Ayyapanthangal.

He was studying in LKG at the Masi Matriculation School.
