Guard found dead at complex site

LUCKNOW: A 65-year-old security guard working at an under-construction complex behind Sriram Towers in Hazratganj was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. The body has been sent for autopsy and investigations are under way.
According to the police, Ashok Kumar Tiwari of Atrauli had been employed by the contractor at the site.

On Sunday afternoon, Tewari’s nephew Ravi phoned him and went to the construction site when calls went answered. He found Ashok in an unconscious state inside a semi-finished room and called the victim’s son Shubham in Hardoi. Subham called the police.

Hazratganj circle officer Abhay Mishra said Tewari was taken to Civil Hospital but doctors declared him brought dead.


The police said that Tewari could have died of cardiac arrest.


Police spokesman AK Singh said the autopsy report will clear the cause of death.


“Prima facie, no wounds were detected on the body,” he said.
