Mayor rescues couple from burning car

In a laudable effort, North Delhi Mayor Preety Agarwal helped a couple whose car caught fire on Saturday night in Rohini area. The Mayor said that she was returning after attending a function and noticed smoke emitting from a car. She immediately stopped her car and called Fire Bridge and waited till the fire was doused.

The officials of the fire brigade acted swiftly and brought situation under control. “No one was injured in the incident as the couple sitting under the car rescued well before in time,” adding that nobody was injured.

She also said that in many instances, it has been seen that people never stop to lay a helping hand. “I want to request people to help the victim of road accidents and other incident,” Agarwal said.
